Duncan1-resized Duncan Higgitt is a former editor and journalist who now works as press and political officer for Bethan Jenkins AM. After serving with the British army, he worked his way up through local free sheets and weeklies before joining the Western Mail in 1997 as a district reporter, going on to work as its news editor and features editor. daran Daran Hill is a political commentator and also manages Wales’ fastest growing public affairs firm, Positif Politics, which he founded in 2006. After twelve years in the profession, he is one of the most authoritative public affairs consultants in Wales, and is well-connected across the political spectrum. In 2011 Daran was the Campaign Director of Yes for Wales, the cross party and non party campaign which united Wales in securing primary legislative powers for the Assembly. In 1997 he was National Organiser of the similar campaign which won the referendum that led to the establishment of the National Assembly. He is also a past Chair of Public Affairs Cymru, the umbrella body for public affairs professionals in Wales, and is respected and well known throughout Welsh civic life. He is a Trustee of the Bevan Foundation, a Fellow of the Institute of Welsh Affairs and a member of the Consultative Committee of the Welsh Political Archive at the National Library of Wales. Anthony Hunt is a former Wales Office Special Adviser and has worked for Paul Murphy during his time as Secretary of State for Wales, in Northern Ireland and as Chair of the Intelligence and Security Committee. He was Labour’s candidate for Ludlow in the 2010 General Election. He has also worked in research and communications roles for Welsh Labour and for the National Assembly Labour Group and is a longstanding party activist. russells photo Russell Lawson began his career as a local journalist and has worked for the Federation of Small Businesses for the past 12 years as Public Affairs Manager for Wales. He writes a regular column for the Western Mail. He has been Chair of Public Affairs Cymru and is currently Chair of the Wales Social Partners Unit, which provides the official interface between business and trade unions organisations and the Assembly Government. He is also a Sustainable Development Commissioner, and an active member of both the Chartered Management Institute and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
