Beginning his career as a local journalist, Russell Lawson has worked for the Federation of Small Businesses for the past 12 years as Public Affairs Manager for Wales. He writes a regular column for the Western Mail. He has been Chair of Public Affairs Cymru and is currently Chair of the Wales Social Partners Unit, which provides the official interface between business and trade unions organisations and the Assembly Government. He is also a Sustainable Development Commissioner, and an active member of both the Chartered Management Institute and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
