Huw Lewis AM is the the Assembly Member for Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney and the Welsh Government's Deputy Minister for Children. Born in Merthyr Tydfil in 1964, he was educated at Edinburgh University. A former chemistry teacher and Assistant General Secretary of the Welsh Labour, his interests include education and the challenges facing the South Wales valleys.
