Chris Franks was elected in 2007 as a Plaid Cymru list member for South Wales Central. He served as a county councillor from 1981 to 2008 and was the Leader of the Plaid Cymru group on the Vale of Glamorgan County Council. Born in Cardiff, Chris has been a member of the Local Health Board, Barry Regeneration Board and is a school governor of Ysgol Pen y Garth. He is Plaid’s Chief Whip in the National Assembly, a member of the Finance Committee and a Commissioner.
