Ann Jones was elected to the National Assemblyfor Wales in May 1999 for the Vale of Clwyd. Ann is Chair of the Assembly’s All Party Group on Deaf Issues and is a member of the liaison committee between the National Assembly Labour Party and the Welsh Parliamentary Labour Party. She is currently the Chair of the Equality of Opportunity Committee and also sits on the Health, Wellbeing and Local Government Committee, the Finance Committee and Legislation Committee No.1. Her political interests include education, tourism, community safety, regeneration, social policy and the emergency services.
