Mo show for Murphy
Reflection — By Adam Higgitt on January 31, 2010 11:07 pmJULIE Walters’ portrayal of the extraordinary Mo Mowlam in tonight’s Channel 4 biopic was as marvelous as promised, in a piece of television that shone throughout. Inevitably, some license is taken with the dramatisation of real life events, but I imagine my ex-boss and Political Development Minister under Mo Mowlam and throughout the Good Friday negotiations, Paul Murphy, might be feeling a tad miffed at being entirely written out of events.
No matter, for if you do want to learn about Murphy’s role in that historic period, you could do a lot worse than read the WalesHome Profile of the Torfaen MP that we published last summer. It’s here.
UPDATE: Paul Flynn agrees.

Very true, both in terms of their friendship and even more so their productive working relationship around the time of the GFA.
