“The people want Carwyn”

Labour leadership race — By Daran Hill on November 24, 2009 6:39 pm

HAVING started to feel a bit like my namesake Harry Hill because of the number of videos I’m getting sent, here’s the latest offering from the Jones camp which reflects a phrase first used by his campaigner Leighton Andrews last night.

It focuses on the outcomes from the two opinion polls conducted in the campaign that show Carwyn as the preferred choice for Welsh Labour leader amongst voters. There are also some rich endorsements from supporters from across Wales including MPs Hywel Francis, Kevin Brennan and Huw Irranca-Davies; and a range of AMs including Lorraine Barrett, Jane Davidson and Lesley Griffiths. No new names, but some clear messages which make up an impact when their cut together so quickly. To be fair, it’s nicely done and works well.

Is this it, now then, campaign teams, or am I going to get a little video with the knitted character in the background?

Are those the dulcet tones of Lee Waters I detect?
