"Without the huge financial support and organisational skills of Welsh Labour that vote would have been lost. I’m not sure there are many people arguing for an early referendum who understand the nuts and bolts of how you win a campaign like this." ... fair point but also a good argument for getting the Yes campaign started now don't you think? Whilst one understands the importance of the Labour vote, with their vote and organisation diminishing there's a lot of people out there who are not party politically affiliated but who would be keen to get involved in a Yes campaign. We need support from all fronts, including Labour, but it would be a tactical and political mistake to think that Labour has a monopoly on the Yes vote.
