		<description>If it was such a paradise it&#039;s bizarre that they felt the need to build a wall; with razorwire, searchlights, minefields and snipers with orders to shoot to kill soley in order to keep the population there!

Some of us find it astounding that Brian chooses to live in Wales, when he has absolute freedom to re-locate to say Cuba or North Korea, either of which would surely be much more to his liking than the horrid welfare capitalism of present day Wales.</description>

		<description>I thought it was more to do with a lack of freedom than whether the shops were filled with bread and milk. As for poverty I would think that millions of Chinese and Russian peasants who died in the 1930s and 50s would beg to differ.</description>

		<description>Fantastic different take of events, Brian. I can&#039;t say I agree with all of what you said - least of all where East German shops are involved - but it is time to revisit that period, and ask what we really have gained from the so-called end of history.</description>
