YouGov’s First Welsh Poll
THE findings of YouGov’s first Welsh poll is to be unveiled at a special breakfast seminar organised by Cardiff University’s Wales Governance Centre.
The poll, which comprises the findings of YouGov’s new Welsh panel, covers a host of topical political issues, including voting intentions in the next UK general election, attitudes to the candidates for the Welsh Labour leadership, as well as voting intentions in any forthcoming referendum on a move to law making powers.
The results will be presented and discussed by leading political analysts Richard Wyn Jones, of Cardiff University, and Roger Scully, from Aberystwyth University. Leading figures from YouGov, the UK’s leading polling organisation, including its president Peter Kellner, will also be on hand to discuss their survey methodology and the prospects for regular polling in Wales.
The seminar will take place in the Norwegian Church in Cardiff Bay on the morning of Tuesday, October 27, beginning at 7.30am and ending some time after 10am. Attendance is free of charge but space is strictly limited, so register at WalesGovernanceCentre@cardiff.ac.uk.

Every Welsh anorak’s dream come true. I foresee a day of wild graph-making, unbridled speculation and of course effusive essays on psephology from Alwyn ap Huw and Cai Larsen.
