Waiting for Rhodo

Labour leadership race — By Daran Hill on September 27, 2009 2:18 pm

Wondering what Rhodri Morgan is going to tell the Labour Party this afternoon but couldn’t afford the travel to Brighton and the conference pass?

Never fear. In between the reruns, BBC Parliament is this afternoon screening the Labour Conference, live from Brighton.

If it’s a choice between hearing what our First Minister has to say about the exit strategy (or doesn’t say, perhaps) and watching people drive round and round in circles for hours, which would you choose?

Screening has started on BBC Parliament and the autocue is already playing up. Peter Hain does the warm up act at about 2.40pm, then comes Rhodri. No disrespect to Peter, but I think I know on whose words every delegate or watcher from Wales will be hanging.

I normally moan if an old General Election is not being screened on the Parliament Channel on a Sunday. Today won’t be one of those days.

And don’t trust what the BBC tells you is being screened!
